The Yule collection. This original design was inspired by the ancient Viking Festival of Yule. The Yule month was considered sacred. It began on the longest night and during the following month many feasts were held rejoicing the end of the year and the return of the sun. The festival was called Yule meaning wheel, as the sun revolved around the sky resembled a wheel depicting the cycle of the seasons. Decorative circular wreaths of evergreen plants were used to adorn these festivals.
